As a wedding photographer serving Saint Augustine, Florida, we recently had the honor of helping a client plan and capture a beautiful beach proposal.

Joey approached me with the idea of proposing to his girlfriend, Valerie, on the beach. He wanted the moment to be captured on camera so that they could cherish it forever. We went back and forth for weeks, going over the plans, details, and important things to Valerie.

The fragrant white Freesias are her favorite flowers, and while they were out of season. I made sure, along with the fantastic florist, that they were here from Holland! Yes, Holland!

He also mentioned how important it was for photography to feel like film. I was thrilled to help him plan the perfect proposal for them and capture the moment, followed by a sweet engagement session.

While photographing with film is fantastic, it is also risky, so we always use digital cameras. 

Leighton and I arrived early to set up the equipment and prepare for the moment while blending in. I am not going to lie when I say that I absolutely love proposals and everything around them! 

The resulting photos were stunning, and I was thrilled to be able to help Joey and Valerie capture such a special moment in their lives.
